* Over 40 playable characters. New: Zafina, Leo, Miguel, Bob, Lars, Alisa.
* Multi-tier stages.
* Unlimited Character Customization.
* Tekken Force - A classic beat 'em up campaign mode which gives you the opportunity to co-operate with fellow players online.

* Bound system. Bound is a "new" feature that was introduced in Tekken 6. While the distinct properties of the Bound system is new, it was based on an already existing system of juggle enders. Some juggle enders would literally "slam" the opponent into the ground, which meant that they could not tech roll. The Bound system builds on that by making the lower body of the opponent "recoil" when they slam into the ground, partially lifting it into the air, giving the player the chance to continue their juggle. Additionally, in stages with breakable floors (Anger of The Earth, Cemetery and Fallen Colony), if the floor is broken at any time, the fighter that was knocked through the floor will have their body react in the same way.

Item Moves. This feature allows a certain item (one for each character) to have an effect on gameplay, rather than just being an accessory. Some "Item Move" features are used to inflict damage, while others are only used for taunting.

The Rage System was a system that was first introduced in Tekken 6, though a similar system, Netsu Power, had been implemented already in Tekken Tag Tournament. The Rage System activates when a characters health drops below a set point, whereafter the character enters "Rage" and has increased attack power. During Rage, a characters hands and feet will have an afterglow, which reportedly is default red in all characters, but can be customized into other colors.

Shrouded in mystery, the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 came to an end with the defeat of Jinpachi Mishima at the hands of Jin Kazama.

Jin took control of the Mishima Zaibatsu and began using the special Tekken Force unit to carry out covert disinformation and paramilitary operations. As a result of its efforts, the general public became paranoid and minor incidents around the globe soon evolved into major conflicts. Governments around the world grew increasingly impotent as chaos spread. At the peak of the carnage and confusion, the Mishima Zaibatsu arose from the darkness, flexing the full potential of its military might and declaring its dominion over all governmental rule.

The Mishima Zaibatsu took control of the world with overwhelming force. In response, G Corporation materialized in opposition to the Zaibatsu, setting-out to subdue the Mishima forces globally. Hailed as civilization’s savior, The G Corporation offered a generous bounty to anyone who captures Mishima Zaibatsu's leader, Jin Kazama. In an effort to lead the next steps in the deadly dance between organizations, The Mishima Zaibatsu set the stage for battle with its announcement of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6.

Some seek fame. Some seek the bounty on Jin's head. Some seek solely to banish their own inner demons. Each fighter has a unique agenda. Welcome to The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6.
